Art is a critical and widely used tool to achieve social change. Senior citizen arts has been introduced to change public perception of the elderly population. This article focuses on the challenges of promoting senior arts in Hong Kong. Based on personal observation and interviews, this article argues that the challenges arise from the public perception of a senior citizen. This perception becomes a barrier to the development of senior citizen arts. The Men of Winds case study demonstrates the importance of making quality arts to promote senior arts in society. It also reflects on the value of senior citizen arts and social service to the community.
