MACM Alumni Symposium 2023: On Cultural Mediation

The MACM Alumni Symposium provides a forum for current cultural management practitioners who are MA in Cultural Management (MACM) graduates to share critical reflections and insights based on first-hand experience as practitioners and/or researchers. This first symposium focuses on the concept of cultural mediation, with topics including social dynamics and power relations, professional ethics, cultural identities, and rights. The symposium will also feature a panel discussion on professional development and career paths for cultural managers.

畢業於中大文管碩士課程,作為內地人,在香港的文化遺產、社群藝術和歷史建築保育方面擁有超過5年的工作經驗,曾在數家中小型NGO負責教育項目、展覽、演出的策劃及推廣。

李瑜恆

李瑜恒,MACUM2019fall畢業生,現爲中山大學非物質文化遺産學專業博士研究生,研究興趣爲非遺保護理論、非遺保護政策與實踐、民俗與民間藝術研究等。曾在核心期刊發表非遺高端論壇綜述,發表曲藝研究論文,擔任《中国非物质文化遗产蓝皮书(2022)》總報告作者,參與多項政府課題研究。

吳雨桐

吳雨桐,女,2010年自文化管理專業碩士畢業,在北京從事文化事業、文化產業管理類工作。現在就職於北京市文物局,從事世界文化遺產申報工作。

張紫伶

張紫伶 博士 ,粵劇宗師白駒榮孫女,資深教育實踐者,港澳非物質文化遺產發展研究會 發起人兼秘書長,崇正中學 署理校長,《毛俊輝劇藝研創計劃》項目總監, 雇員再培訓局 影視文化技術顧問。 出生於廣東省粵劇院,畢業於英屬哥倫比亞大學主修小提琴演奏副修中文。 2008年返港任職香港都會大學,負責“安利中國文化中心”計劃,開拓粵劇、國學、書法、古董鑒賞等課程。同時亦與北京清華大學、英國密德薩斯大學、伯樂音樂學院合作其他專業課程。 2012年在職完成香港中文大學文化管理碩士學位,同年十月入職香港演藝學院, 加入粵劇藝術學士榮譽學位課程發展及籌備工作。2015年在職入讀中國藝術研究院,戲劇戲曲系博士學位,師從原文化部副部長王文章院長。2018年獲得中國藝術研究院藝術博士學位,是香港首位在内地完成戲曲理論專業的博士研究生。 2022年港澳非物質文化遺產發展研究會獲得香港賽馬會慈善信托基金捐助爲期三年的《毛俊輝劇藝研創計劃》。同時,2018年至今為崇正中學署理校長,致力研究學術與文化上的中西合璧,專注培養新一代香港接班人,近期更發展了專上學院,力求實現中學大學一條龍的教育理想。 出版書籍:《香港粵劇流派》作者;《毛俊輝的戲劇人生》文字整理;《白駒榮評傳》編輯。

Zhou Mengchen

Mengchen Zhou currently is a Ph.D. candidate in the Institute for Cultural Industries of Shenzhen University, China. She was a lecturer in Wuhan Conservatory of Music in China from 2016 to 2021, teaching Arts Marketing, Cultural Economics and Advertising, etc. Zhou’s academic interests include arts marketing, music industries and cultural industries.

Fan Sixin

Fancy is the Programme Manager of Along the Edge Arts Festival (HK). She was the Teaching Assistant for the M.A. in Cultural Management programme at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Fancy has been working on her Ph.D. research with Pegaso International since 2018, focusing on festivals and higher education.

李睿芝

李睿芝,2021年畢業於香港中文大學文化管理專業。常駐上海,現任職於中國上海國際藝術節中心,負責藝術節展覽項目的策劃、對接與實施工作。

呂慧瑩

呂慧瑩(Zoe Lui),曾于鳳凰新聞、bilibili等平台從事數字營銷工作,關註城市露宿者、文化保育等公共議題,2019年修讀香港中文大學文化管理碩士課程後,投身文化傳播及公共項目策劃工作。

畢業於英國University of the Arts London, Wimbledon College of Art,獲藝術學士(榮譽)學位,主修舞台及服裝設計。其後在香港中文大學修讀文化管理碩士學位。2018年創立 Mi Spacium Design Studio,除了提供不同的設計服務,亦推廣本地及海外藝術。

先後畢業於香港大學及香港中文大學,獲刑事司法學士及文化管理文學碩士(院長嘉許名單2017-18)。現為香港中文大學文化管理碩士校友會義務秘書。

車學森,香港中文大學文化管理碩士,現為韓山師範學院文學與新聞傳播學院助教、輔導員。研究領域為文化產業集聚、文化政策及文化治理。

劉绮菁

劉綺菁,香港中文大學2021屆文化管理碩士,曾擔任記者、翻譯,有3年政府及企業文化專案策劃經驗,現任「廣州日報·粵傳媒」編輯、「文化產業評論」撰稿人,主攻文創、文旅、新消費、文化數位化等方向。

邵子琦

邵子琦(Zola Shao),德薩畫廊總監(銷售與市場)。本科畢業於多倫多大學藝術史及經濟系,後獲香港中文大學文化管理碩士學位。她曾供職於多家藝術機構,亦長期為《藝術新聞(中文版)》等媒體撰稿。

王卿贇

香港中文大學文化管理碩士,現擔任新天地品牌推廣經理,負責建立品牌的文化內容與資源網絡,自2016年來打造一系列具有影響力的原創藝術文化活動,包括光影上海、天地世界音樂節、表演藝術新天地等。開商業地產行業先河,創刊聚焦社群的創意文化刊物Social Paper深入挖掘社群的價值,傳遞中國創藝的品牌理念。

Zhang Zexun

Marco Zhang holds degrees in Art History and Cultural Management from mainland China and Hong Kong SAR. He is a PhD researcher from the School of Art History and Cultural Policy, UCD. His research focuses on the intersection of culture and local development in Asia, including topics such as representations of local culture, the impact of globalization on cultural policies, and arts management in the Asian context.

張仲陽

張仲陽,北京電影學院在讀博士生。研究生畢業於香港中文大學文化管理專業。當下主要研究領域為戲曲對外傳播交流。同時對藝術教育,文化政策和文化藝術空間等話題有著濃厚興趣。曾參與話劇《一封陌生女人的來信》,京劇《看錢奴》,《雙官譜》,《一蓑煙雨》等數部舞台作品的編創與製作。

Gao Zhejun

GAO graduated from the Chinese University with a master's in Cultural Management in 2020. He is currently an art writer, institutional curator, and part-time artist based in Shanghai. He takes curating as a way of (re)building the relationship between different groups and investigating the operation of social-political structures in our daily lives. Previous curatorial cases include 'NEXT ACT' 2020, 'Becoming yourself' 2020, 'Noise and Shuffle 2022, etc. His writings have been published on platforms such as Artform, Ocular, Art Review, etc.

林翠麗

Erica Lam (Hong Kong), graduated with an MA degree in Cultural Management from CUHK in 2008. Training in counselling, cultural management, cultural studies, multimedia design, picture book illustrations, and story writing who is based in Hong Kong. She has been working in parent education, leadership training, and cultural and art education. She feels interested in all kinds of arts, martial arts, urban sketching, urban farming, and backpacking, with the previous publications “Two Cats, One Fish and the Half Moon”. Through exploring art and sand play therapy in counselling, she absorbs the tradition of remembrance art into daily practice. Her works directly respond to the environment to reorganize one’s life while pursuing dreams.

Li Long Hin

Li endeavours to interpret, execute and maintain the cultural value of performing arts in Hong Kong and China by being a practising producer, creator, educator, performer and administrator. He currently works as the Assistant Manager (Programme) at Hong Kong Dance Company and the Teaching Assistant for the Master of Arts in Cultural Management (MACM) programme at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Prior to his previous work positions at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) and Hong Kong Arts Festival, Li worked as an independent dance artist and produced for Voy Arts Ensemble. Li was awarded the degree of MACM by the CUHK with support from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund, as well as the BFA in Dance by the HKAPA.

Arie Long

Arie Long is Assistant Curator, Visual Art, at M+. Her work engages closely with the museum’s collections, including the M+ Sigg Collection, and with contemporary art practices in the Greater China region and beyond. Since joining M+ in 2018, she has organized the M+ Sigg Prize and M+ Sigg Fellowship programmes focusing on Chinese contemporary art and contributed to the curatorial direction of two exhibitions for the museums’s grand opening: The Dream of the Museum and M+ Sigg Collection: From Revolution to Globalisation. Her upcoming projects include the exhibition M+ Sigg Collection: Another Story and the forthcoming editions of the M+ Sigg Prize and M+ Sigg Fellowship. Before joining M+, Long worked with the Hong Kong Arts Centre, the British Council, and UNESCO, as well as with private art foundations and galleries.

Melody Mui

Melody’s exposure to technology started in Grade 4 with a computer class in Mong Kok learning how to code and move a turtle on the computer. While studying Theatre in an engineering focused University, she embarked on a journey in Arts and Technology. In 2015, her curiosity led her to Artsy. She grew Artsy’s APAC and EMEA’s business while supporting galleries globally to bring artworks online. She deeply appreciate how MACM advanced her passion in the cultural industry and connected her with inspiring companions.

王婉晨

王婉晨,傳媒領域的文化生產者。曾在新媒體平台進行文化熱點報導並拍攝短視頻。現在在電視台紀錄片欄目做編導,創作專題片。

張玉芬

張玉芬,2022年於中文大學文化管理碩士畢業,多年從事理財顧問、美容化妝導師,現兼任香港大學專業進修學院講師、篋敲擊樂團文學視藝發展委員會理事、一月一藝術導賞員等等。

鄧茜佳

Sica Deng 香港中文大學文化管理碩士2013年畢業 有多年海內外巡演經驗,曾供職於內地互聯網平臺,著重策劃及運營線上音樂演出項目,現從事藝術家經紀及大型音樂節管理

龔奕丹

龔奕丹,戲劇從業者,目前是四川劇場的市場總監,同時也是一位自由寫作者和項目策劃。工作範疇涉及劇目製作、演出營銷等與戲劇相關的幾乎所有工作。

李博

本科畢業於北京舞蹈學院,研究生畢業於香港中文大學CM17屆。現主要從事奢侈品branding相關工作,並仍以各種方式熱忱投身於藝術活動之中。

Wen Wen

After graduated in Cultural Management at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Wen Wen established Hermark Culture in Beijing in 2011, an innovative performing arts agency committing to promoting overseas innovative and enriching arts projects in China. Aimed at encouraging audiences of all ages to fully enjoy the experience in the theaters and to be inspired by works of art, Hermark Culture specializes in presenting performances that are suited and thought for the whole family. With the great ambition to popularize culture and arts, Hermark curates and carries out a variety of arts educational events with her anthropological and sociological approach. To develop the cultural exchanges and cooperation among countries around the world, Hermark Culture is always an active participant through the international arts exchange projects. Leading the Hermark team, Wen has participated in projects such as China-France 50-year Diplomatic Year, China-Qatar Culture Year, China-Brazil Culture Year.

Meggy Cheng

Meggy received a Master of Arts in Cultural Management at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Dean’s List Honour). She received her Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature at the University of Hong Kong while at the same time she obtained a Diploma in Drama from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. With over 17 years of marketing experience, both in the commercial sector and in the arts, she has managed marketing and communications for renowned global brands, including Procter & Gamble (Greater China) and McDonald’s (Hong Kong). Meggy was previously the Head of Marketing and Communications at Chung Ying Theatre Company and the Director of Marketing for the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. She is now the Head of Marketing and Branding of M+, West Kowloon Cultural District.

Meggy was awarded the Hong Kong Scholarship for “Clore Leadership Programme 2018/19” by Hong Kong Arts Development Council to undertake the Clore Leadership Programme in the United Kingdom. Recently, she was also awarded the HKMA/TVB Marketing Excellence 2019 “Distinguished Marketing Leadership Awards” and named “Marketer of the Year 2019” by Hong Kong Management Association.

Rebecca Chou

Rebecca is the Executive Director of Entertainment Marketing at MGM Macau.

She has been engaged in art and cultural management for over 16 years, taking up various positions at the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao S.A.R. Government, including Head of Division of Performing Arts, General Manager of Macao Orchestra, and Chief Coordinator of Macao Arts Festival and Macao International Music Festival, where she has curated and managed various iconic city-level festivals and performing arts events. Besides serving the public sector, she has worked in commercial sector as Director of Marketing, focusing in business strategy, brand building and event management. She has also taught at The Macao Institute for Tourism Studies for the Certificate Course in Performance Arts Management.

Since September 2021, she has been appointed as a member of the Panel of Advisors for the M.A. in Cultural Management Programme, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is also a member of the evaluation committee for the performing arts subsidy programs at the Cultural Development Foundation since 2020.

Rebecca received a Master of Arts in Cultural Management from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Business Administration (major in Human Resource Management and Marketing) from The University of Hong Kong. She is currently an EMBA candidate at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Heidi Lee

Heidi Lee is now the Executive Director of Hong Kong Ballet.

Lee has served as a professional arts administrator for more than 26 years, working for various Hong Kong arts organizations on their management, planning, programming, marketing, fund-raising, and branding, including PIP Cultural Industries Ltd., Hong Kong Dance Company, Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, Hong Kong Cultural Centre and Hong Kong Fringe Club, among others. In 2010, the Li Ka Shing Foundation appointed her Executive Director of the Cheung Kong School of Art and Design at Shantou University. She became the Associate Dean in 2014 and Director of Arts & Cultural Development of STU Arena in 2018.

Lee is now the Council Member of Hong Kong Arts Development; Advisory Panel Member of Cultural Management Programme of Chinese University Hong Kong; Co-chair of the Creativity & Arts Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce; a member of the Advisory Board of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts Dance School since 2019; Board Member of Hong Kong Dance Alliance since 2020; and Board Member of Intercultural Dialogue Limited (Presenter of Matteo Ricci Musical). She was a core member of the Producers’ Network Meeting & Forum of West Kowloon Cultural District of Hong Kong (2015-2018), a Management Consultant of the Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association (July-December 2019).

She is the awardee of “AmCham’s Women of Influence – Master of the Arts, 2021”; and awardee of the “Asian Cultural Council Fellowship 2012”.

John Tung

John Tung is an independent curator and exhibition-maker. To date, his close work with artists has realised more than 50 artwork commissions and site-specific adaptations ranging from the minute to monumental. Serving as a co-curator for the Singapore Biennale 2016 and Singapore Biennale 2019, three of the artwork commissions he curated were finalists for the Benesse Prize, with one work winning the prestigious award. His recent appointments as an independent curator include Festival Curator for the 7th & 8th Singapore International Photography Festival (2020 & 2022) and Associate Curator for the Open House programme, For the House; Against the House (2021, 2022 & 2023), and The Forest Institute, a large-scale architectural art installation dedicated to secondary forest ecologies. In 2023, he was the recipient of the inaugural Tan Boon Hui Curatorial Prize.
